9. Use 3-D Marketing
Three dimensional marketing is a direct mail strategy that’s also fondly called “lumpy mail”. Businesses have never really used this strategy much – although I think they should.
If you have a relatively small targeted list of prospects or customers it makes sense to create a series of mailings with either sample products inside or something three dimensional that represents your product, a feature or a benefit that you’re offering. Customers can’t resist opening something that’s lumpy or makes noise – the curiosity factor is just too much to resist. And if you have a great offer in the accompanying letter, your creativity, money and time will be well spent.
